Built for the next level.
You've built a real business and want it to grow. We bring a clear read on where the value is, the plan to raise it, and a partner in the work from week to week. Sam built and scaled companies himself and has trained hundreds of founders, so the advice is operator-tested.
Most of the work here is private-market growth: strategy, sales, operations, and the financial model behind the next move. Where public funding or a government angle can help, we know that world too.
Where the value is
We look at a business across the seven spokes of the Discovery wheel: marketing, sales, service and product delivery, customer service, innovation, back end, and vision and strategy. A wheel has to be round to roll, and one flat spoke holds the whole thing back. The fastest growth usually comes from finding the flat spots and fixing them in the right order.
When to bring us in
When you're ready to grow
- Revenue has plateaued and you want a clear read on the next move.
- You know there's more in the business and want a plan to reach it.
- Sales, pricing, or marketing need sharpening.
- You need a financial model behind a decision, a raise, or a plan.
- The right introduction, partner, or customer could change the trajectory, and you want into a network that can make it.
When the business needs to run better
- Operations, systems, or reporting can't keep up with where you're headed.
- Hiring or team structure is the bottleneck.
- You want a seasoned partner in the work week to week, not just a one-time report.
- There may be public funding or a program you qualify for and want checked.

Track record
15+ years advising owners and founders. A national retail brand built and scaled into Whole Foods and Sprouts nationwide. Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses training behind the work, and hundreds of founders mentored.
Proof
Building a small business across every function, from the inside.
Before advising owners, we built one. We took an ice cream brand from an idea to roughly 2,000 supermarkets nationwide, running every function it took to get there: manufacturing, distribution, retail and merchandising, branding and marketing, digital and direct-to-consumer, supply chain, fundraising, and the legal, accounting, and finance behind it.
Result: the hands-on experience of scaling a small business end to end, in the room for yours.A pandemic pivot that kept a distributor alive.
When COVID shut down the foodservice accounts a produce distributor depended on, its trucks, facilities, and crew went idle overnight. We helped invent a new channel: a food-relief box program that moved thousands of boxes a week and kept the people, trucks, and facilities working, plus a direct-to-consumer grocery brand that sold more than $1 million in four months, with payments collected up front through the site to carry the company's cash flow.
Result: a stalled foodservice business turned into a running relief and direct-to-consumer operation, cash positive through the worst of it.On performance-based fees
For private-sector growth and business development, we can structure part of our compensation around results, so our incentives line up with yours. Any work that touches public funding or government decisions stays fixed-fee and is never tied to an outcome, which keeps it clean and compliant. We draw that line clearly before any engagement begins.
