Where politics, policy, and law meet
Christian founded CDD Strategies, a government affairs and strategic-planning firm focused on energy, transportation, and recreational land use. He advises companies and nonprofits on the permits, procurement, and legislation that decide whether a project moves, across work that has included natural gas pipelines, affordable housing, and mixed-use real estate. He is also a founding partner at Marks DiPalermo Wilson, a firm handling land use, municipal, and regulatory law, and a co-founder of the Siwanoy Group, a real estate advisory practice.
The roles he came up through
Before building his own firms, Christian was a vice president at the government affairs firm TLM Associates, executive director of New Yorkers for Parks, and regional vice president for external affairs at SBC Telecom. He began in public service as a legislative aide in the New York State Legislature and a district representative for Congresswoman Nita Lowey in Westchester County.
Recognition and service
Christian has twice been named to City & State's Westchester Power 100, in 2019 and 2020. He serves on the board of the Long Island chapter of the League of Conservation Voters and is a member of the Business Council of Westchester and the Long Island Association. He holds a J.D. from New England School of Law, an M.P.A. from NYU's Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service, and a B.A. in political science from SUNY Binghamton, and is admitted to the New York Bar.
What it means for FVP clients
When a client's work runs through energy, transportation, or land use, or needs the law and the government affairs handled as one, Christian joins the engagement. He brings the legal and strategic read together with the relationships across New York government that help this kind of project advance.
